2022 Alumni Events

Founded in 1878, St Patrick’s College Townsville is the oldest Independent School in the area. It holds a very special place in the hearts of past-pupils, and we are committed to finding ways to celebrate College camaraderie and build new Alumni relationships. We are delighted to offer three Alumni events this year: Lunch at Tattersalls, A Devonshire Tea and Drinks at Twilight. Alumni may attend any or all events.

Alumni Event One - Lunch at Tattersalls

We were delighted to facilitate the Brisbane Branch Alumni of St Patrick’s College Townville and - after a postponement due to COVID-19 - held a leisurely lunch at Tattersalls Club in May. We timed the event to follow an 11.30am service at the Cathedral of St Stephen (249 Elizabeth Street, Brisbane City). The guest speaker was our College Principal, Amber Hauff. Also in attendance was be Joanna Pacey, College Registrar and Amy Brynes, Deputy Principal - Academics.

Alumni Event Two - Devonshire Tea

Held in the stunning East Precinct Auditorium, A Devonshire Tea was a wonderful morning of catching up with old friends. With food provided by Essentially Fresh, our guests enjoyed a delicious selection of gourmet sandwiches, fresh fruit and freshly baked scones with jam and cream. We timed the event to follow a morning service at Mary Help of Christians Parish (St Joseph’s Church). Past pupil, Meredith Palmer, her husband Josh and a few of our talented singers provided the music during the Mass.

We love welcoming past students back to St Patrick's College Townsville and it was wonderful to hear anecdotes of boarding life in the early 60s through to day school antics in the late 80s and early 90s.

Alumni Event Three - Twilight Drinks

Our final event for 2022 combined Alumni with College families and friends. Held in the East Precinct foyer and courtyard at twilight, there was a free drink on arrival and lots of delicious nibbles provided by local gourmet specialists, Essentially Fresh. Guests were entertained by the fabulous Tess Latu and also got to browse through a selection of our students' artwork. Past teachers and students, current families, and friends of the College mixed and mingled until the end. Thank you to everyone who attended!
