Elissa Andrews
Dean of Faith & Mission
With more than 20 years of teaching experience, Elissa is a dedicated and enthusiastic educator who has supported the learning and development of thousands of young people across North Queensland. Prior to joining St Patrick’s College Townsville in 2020, she taught at Marian Catholic School in Townsville and St Kieran’s Catholic School in Mount Isa.
Elissa is particularly passionate about Religious Education, English and the Arts, and is committed to creating engaging classroom environments where students are encouraged to think creatively, participate actively and achieve their personal best.
In July 2025, Elissa commenced participation in the Into the Deep Program, an extended leadership formation initiative designed to nurture spiritual growth and reflective leadership. The program incorporates retreats, mentoring, the Ignatian First Spiritual Exercises, seminars, a book club, shared prayer practices such as the Awareness Examen and Lectio Divina, small-group spiritual conversations, and will culminate in a pilgrimage to France in April.
