Camps & Retreats
Camps and retreats are an integral component of the well-being and pastoral care program at St Patrick’s College Townsville.
Our camps and retreats programs ensure that students participate in outdoor experiences that improve their well-being, and that of their communities and the natural world. Students are encouraged to think and act to support positive relationships with themselves, with dynamic healthy communities and the sustainability of life. Prayer, liturgy and quiet reflection are integral components of all camps and retreats from Years 7-11.
Years 7 - 11 participate in camps and retreats in the last week of Semester 1.
Year 7 – Camp Kanga in Proserpine
Year 8 – Wambiana Station in Charters Towers
Year 9 – Mungalli Falls Outdoor Education Centre in Millaa Millaa
Year 10 – Genazzano Retreat at Lake Barrine
Year 11 – Will participate in a two day Leadership Retreat in Townsville.

Acknowledgement of Country: We give thanks and respectfully acknowledge the Wulgurukaba people, the Traditional Custodians of this beautiful country whose land our College shares. We recognise their ongoing deep spiritual connection to this Country, and the care they gave for thousands of years. We also acknowledge the Bindal people as the neighbouring Custodians of their Country. We pay our respects to the Elders, past, present and emerging and extend that respect to other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples here today.
