Sarah Silinju
Coordinator of Logistics, Activities & Administration - Boarding
Sarah is a proud St Patrick’s College Townsville alumna whose connection with the College spans more than two decades. After graduating in 2009, she returned the following year to begin her professional journey in Boarding and has since dedicated her career to supporting and enriching the lives of boarding students.
Since joining the staff in 2010, she has held a range of roles including Tutor, Boarding Supervisor, Senior Boarding Supervisor, Teacher Aide, Personal Assistant to the Director of Boarding, Acting Deputy Head of Boarding, and now Coordinator of Logistics, Activities and Administration - Boarding. Her extensive experience, combined with her deep understanding of the boarding community, allows her to provide exceptional support to students and families alike.
During her time as a student, she was an active leader within the College community, serving on the Student Representative Council from Years 9 to 11 and being appointed Residential Head Girl in 2009.
What she values most about boarding is the opportunity to walk alongside students throughout their journey, from their arrival in Year 7 to their graduation. She finds great joy in watching young women grow in confidence, resilience, and independence, and considers it a privilege to help shape supportive experiences that enable them to thrive. Seeing students leave St Patrick’s as capable, compassionate, and confident young women ready for their next chapter is what makes her work so rewarding.

Acknowledgement of Country: We give thanks and respectfully acknowledge the Wulgurukaba people, the Traditional Custodians of this beautiful country whose land our College shares. We recognise their ongoing deep spiritual connection to this Country, and the care they gave for thousands of years. We also acknowledge the Bindal people as the neighbouring Custodians of their Country. We pay our respects to the Elders, past and present, and extend that respect to other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples here today.
